Coralie Fargeat's bold satire examines the demanding standards for women's appearance as well as the feared consequences of advancing years. Presence

Soderbergh pushes his creative boundaries with this nifty paranormal narrative shot entirely from the viewpoint of the phantom. After a clan featuring mother Rebekah and her distressed teen Chloe settles into their new suburban house, the camera – representing the ghost – shadows their actions. Chloe seems conscious of the poltergeist, and it looks like defensive toward her. Yet what is the reason? This is an entertaining concept that remains concise, with a twist you might not see coming. The Eyes of Tammy Faye

In the conflict between God and Mammon, the victory is clear for Mammon in Showalter's brilliantly over-the-top biopic about the fallen televangelist plus her lawbreaking partner. Andrew Garfield acts as the greedy Jim, who states at the beginning, claiming divine approval for wealth. Both individuals begin monetising the people's spiritual convictions. It's a spectacle of poor styling, excessive cosmetics and bad faith, however the lead actress achieves to show the character with compassion. Tuesday 14 October, early morning, the Film4 channel
